HERE IS WHAT OUR OWNER'S SAY ABOUT THEIR PUPPIES:
JULY 2020

HI TARI!
We can't thank you enough!! Wanted to let you know what a Trooper Teddy was all the way back to Florida!~~ Our flight was delayed 3 hours and we didn't get home until 3 am! He peed and pooped for us and let us know each and everytime! I used the newspaper in the airport bathroom and he went. Then as soon as we got to my parents house right out the door to potty! Each and every time he alerts us! Some fussiness in the crate the first night but then fell asleep. Alerted us in the middle of the night for potty with full deposit and back to crate. The goodness he exudes I just want to bottle up!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... just can't say it enough! A true testament to your breeding and training!

Our sweet girl made it here without any trouble. I am amazed at how Confident Alice is! I introduced her to my daughter's dog first thing since they are nearly the same size.. They really liked each other. Shortly afterwards Alice fell asleep in my arms. All is well here in North Carolina! Thank you for bringing her into my life!

North is sporting a modified German cut for the summer. He thinks he's the bomb! HE IS! Love him to pieces. He is a wonderful comfort to me. He is in Obedience class and starting Rally. He will also do Lure. We are going trout fishing soon... Do you think he will retrieve trout? He is SO SMART!
Of ALL the poodles we have had... NORTH is the smartest, healthiest, most well behaved and the easiest to train. He is a people pleaser. Too bad you don't breed husbands LOL.
THANKS SO MUCH TARI!

Hi Tari
This is Pippa's first boat ride. She was awesome. She is the noisiest goof but guards by bum leg like I'm queen of ALL. And she can catch a ball BETTER than the CUBS. She has become the bright spot in my life and the gift I didn't know I needed.

HI TARI
I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know.. but I am truly amazed at the intelligent these Standard Poodles have. Never have I come across such a puppy ever in my life! 2 days ago she had her ball stuck under her cot on the patio what does she do but take one end of her cot pick it up with her mouth and move it over just enough to get her ball.
I could not believe my eyes!
Teri, nobody would have believed if it wasn't for David
witnessing this event!
Your lineage of Einsteins are showing through! I wish I had my camera to have caught this action taking place! I'm sure it would have been a worlds greatest!!
I just wanted to share I am so happy with my little girl, thank you!

Hi Tari!
Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day !! Rupert and Daisy are positively WONDERFUL!!!! They just had a fun 6 weeks at our home in Park City--they LOVE playing in the snow, and we go daily to their favorite dog park--acres and acres of open trails where they can run and play with every dog breed. They especially love poodles and doodles! Our puppies are BY FAR the prettiest, the sweetest and my guess is the most loved and cherished of them all!! Hope you are all well and happy Tari-- We will never be able to thank you enough for bringing these beautiful babies into our Lives! <3 <3

Our 12 year old standard poodle Bella is perfect in every way except one – she’s not eternal. Our vet suggested it was time to think about a puppy for Bella’s benefit as well as ours. We spent months searching the internet for a breeder until my husband found Christmas Story on the Dubois Standard poodle nursery page. He said, “I found your girl!” I think God tried to make it idiot proof because the name I had picked out was “Story” But I continued to search and my husband continued to lobby for Christmas Story.
So I sent a series of emails Tari responded quickly and answered all my questions. When I asked to speak to her by phone, she responded immediately. She knew and described accurately the personality of the puppy. Tari made me feel confident throughout the process. She was patient with PayPal glitches and my neurotic need for assurance. Story was shipped on United Airlines and I was able to track her from check in to arrival.
The funny thing is she answered to Story the first time we called her. Thank you Tari for our girl. We highly recommend Dubois Standard Poodles.

Hi Tari,
My spoiled rotten, but smart and wily boy turned two recently but has decided to stay adolescent for awhile. I keep thinking we are going to pass the TDI test but Indy says, “Uh noooo. I sit, I wait, but then I want a turn with that squeak toy.” We will get there soon, but in the interim he decided to earn his first Trick Dog title. Now that’s right up his alley. Never had a dog who is so devoted to fun.
Happy holidays to you.

Hi Tari,
Charlie is a LOVE. First Two nights of minimal whining when first put in the crate and nothing more. No pee or poop in crate and knows exactly what to do as soon as he gets outside. Enjoyed his first boat ride! The vet LOVED his coloring and gave him a perfect bill of health. He loves to play but loves even more to cuddle...
UPdate....So smart. Housetrained, sits, stays, Go's to crate on command and loves her big sister. THey are always playing. Thank you for blessing us with such a wonderful boy!

Hi Tari,
I haven't written in a while...summer is busy and going quickly.
Over the weekend Walker became a champion at The Locke shows. Attached is a picture of him.
He earned all of his points with competition, I am so proud of this guy! Many people have commented on how lovely he is and how great his personality is. He of course loves all of the attention he's getting, such a ham.
Well just wanted to send a note that he is doing well and we love him greatly.

We wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. We have had a wonderful time adding Sydney Grace to our family. She is a JOY! She now weighs about 35 pounds and is Sofie’s best friend. I thought that you might like to see a picture that we had taken with the four of us.
Thank you, Tari, for giving us such a gentle, sweet, busy, little girl. We are currently working on correcting counter surfing but she is learning new things everyday.
She is SO smart!
We feel so Blessed to have her as part of our family.

Hey Tari!
Hope you're having a blessed holiday! We are thrilled by our latest addition (we think she's smarter than her older brother even). Watson ( by Savannah & Chaps) is absolutely IN LOVE with Miss Irene (Harley x Cruella). They've become best friends and inseparable. Thank you so much for these beautiful puppies. Irene is on her way to becoming an amazing dog.
Watson is the best thing that's happened to me. He is now my service dog. We are so happy with him and his abilities. We'd definitely recommend one of your dogs for work.
Again, thank you so much!

Hi Tari,
I hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving! Charlie is growing like a weed. He is finally growing into his feet and ears, but still has a way to go! He is gentle and smart (I am sure you aren't at all surprised) and I can't wait to get him into agility classes in a few months. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of how he is doing.
Because I had lost my amazing Golden Retriever suddenly, a month before bringing Charlie home, I was worried about my (maybe unrealistic) expectations and how well I would bond with him. It was almost like he could sense that he needed to be a gentle, calm puppy and not rock the boat too much. He quickly found his place in our "pack" and has helped mend a few hearts along the way. He is very special and I love watching him grow and change everyday.
All the best,
Sarah Laverty

Hi Tari,
A quick note on Penny's 1st birthday (which was actually yesterday) to let you know that she is doing wonderfully. She is on the dainty side at just over 35 lbs, and everyone remarks on how beautiful she is -- so true! She is affectionate, inquisitive, and very smart. Her favorite things are running full speed at the park with her buddies, wrestling my parents' standard poodle Lucy (her very best friend), "borrowing" other dogs' tennis balls so they chase her, snuggling, and being our shadow.
She has brought such joy to our lives -- we were married only 4 days before picking her up last October, and she truly completed our family. Thank you for our wonderful girl. We adore her.
I've enclosed a few [too many] pictures of her life in Chicago. As you can see from one of the pictures below, she has retained her signature head tilt that you captured in the photo you have of her in the banner on your website! Photo 5 and Photo 4(1) were taken yesterday on her first birthday.
Take care!

Tari,
January marked a year since our puppy arrived at DFW Airport. It’s been a while since we’ve updated you on how our family is doing and I thought it was time.
Sterling has grown to 49 lbs and is the center of attraction everywhere we go. First and foremost, he is the center of attention here at our home!
I can honestly say that his addition to our home has helped Linda, my wife, through the health challenges she has been facing. Three years of battling cancer and other issues is tough on anyone. Sterling has brought a new light into the house. My wife and I have discussed it many times and have no idea what we did before Sterling. Our time was consumed by something although we have no idea what. Today, Sterling changes our focus where we don’t dwell on negative but more on the positive.
He is a great dog and is part of the family in every way. I’ve enclosed a photo I took this morning with him standing in the doorway, one from this past summer sitting in a patio chair and a photo of our granddaughter and Sterling. As you can see, he loves to be held.
He’s not perfect! Surprise, surprise! He still has the puppy tendency to chew on hands. He is smart… “no bite” command usually stops the biting and if not, I tell him to get a toy, which he does, and then the focus is the toy and not the hand.
Loves to play tag and chase. Frisbee is big. Weather permitting, we go running. He enjoys jumping for no reason at all other than to show off. Loves to grab stuff and help carry it. Such as groceries and the newspaper. Didn’t take long and I realized channeling that energy into getting the paper every morning would be easy and he does. Open the door, let him out, hopefully there are no rabbits or squirrels nearby, and the paper is retrieved with tail wagging.
Smart is an understatement. We have several commands down and anything new usually takes about 5 maybe 10 minutes of training and he has it. Of course that applies to bad habits too. Like getting into a particular bush in our yard that the leaves are like Velcro and attach all over the place.
Thanks again for the help and generosity. You have gone the extra mile and there is a family in Texas that has been changed!

Hello Tari,
A quick note to let you know that Gabriel is doing great. He has adapted to our household wonderfully. Potty-training is going well, though there is the is the occasional (and expected) accident. He's getting the idea.
We took him to our vet last Friday and he is in excellent health - thank you for that. Nobody in that office had seen a poodle quite like him, so they were intrigued. We're gradually switching him over to Beneful puppy food, and so far so good.
LIke mother like son - he likes tennis balls and other toys, and he is quite the cuddler. He gets along great with the other dogs as you can see by the attached photo.
Thanks again, and we'll stay in touch with his progress.

November 3, 2013 Love and loss-- remembering Bunsen

My mom, Carol, got our poodle, Bunsen from you two years ago. I'm very sad to say that we lost him this morning. He saw a dog friend across the street and darted out. He didn't even see the pickup truck coming around the corner. It all happened so fast, one minute he was playing fetch and then he lying in the street. He died within moments.
Here he is in his Halloween costume on Thursday. He loved wearing it, I even caught him checking out his reflection in the mirror.
Thank you so much for giving us our funny baby. Even though we didn't have him nearly long enough, and my heart is broken now, I wouldn't trade a moment of it.
Most sincerely,
Maggie Geiger

Hi Tari,
Willis is one year old today! I enclosed some pics so you can see what he looks like. Everything you said and all the advice you gave was so true. He is an absolute treasure!! I cannot believe how smart poodles are--he always seems a step ahead of me. You also said he would be devoted and again you nailed it!-He has to be with me or at least in sight at all times.
I am just so thrilled to have him. On his birthday I want to thank you for everything.
He has earned his Novice Trick dog title and is in advanced obedience. He has a Staples "that was easy" button which he hits with his paw on command when finishing tricks--CUTE!
I know everyone loves their dogs but this one for me is very special. THANK YOU !!! especially for being you!

Hi Tari…
Just a note to let you know that Lucy is working VERY hard at filling the void of losing our ‘Abby’ last year. She is WAY more affectionate than Abby was. I am amazed at how connected she has become. She is by my side everywhere I go…and I mean EVERYWHERE.

Hi Tari,
Callie just turned 5 months yesterday and she has SO become the light of our lives!
I have attached a few photos - after her first professional grooming.
My husband is pushing me for a second puppy sometime this spring or fall - if you could keep us updated, it would be greatly appreciated.
If you have anyone call for references from our area - please feel free to give them our contact.
She is so smart, loving, healthy and wonderful.
All my best for a happy and healthy New Year to you and your human and canine family.

Obe/ Zelda update Sable boy & brown white tux girl (above)
Tari,
Obe and Zelda are still doing awesome. Never had to put a fence in, underground fence, nothing. They stay on our 15 acre farm and they currently SMELL of skunk. They found another one last night. She is growing to be a tall girl. Her colors are gorgeous, just like a fierce hunting dog!! Obe is blue and white until his undercoat grows out with the sable. Very neat. Long haired hes sable, cut short, blue. They both already think they are all that. And they scare all visitors (human and not) which is funny, especially when they find out they are poodles. Just wanted to update you and say THANKS again.
Sincerely, Dayna Taylor from Iowa

- Hi! I bought a poodle from you last year, and I just wanted to update you that 'DuBois In the Spotlight' had two Best of Breeds (and two Group 4ths) today at a UKC show! It was his first time out! We will also be showing Saturday and Sunday, so we will keep you posted! Judge David Arthur was thoroughly impressed and said he will definately be able to keep up with the solid colors... a very superb quality dog. So keep up the good work!

- Weekend update! Jack Jack finished his championship with a 3rd BOB (over a UKC Premier MCPoo Champion), and a Group 2nd over the #1 Curly Coated Retriever, #1 Flat Coated Retriever in the country, and over and AKC special (and a black at that!). He was amazing and really wowed everyone. I think he also earned a win towards his Grand CH with his group placement (I think). We will continue to show and get that Grand!
Thank you again for this wonderful dog!

Carol's Bunsen

We bought Bunsen from you last spring so he's about 14 months old now. We just went to the vet for a check up and he weighs 55 lbs. The Dr says that's about right but we shouldn't let him gain more, time to start measuring his food more carefully. He gets plenty of exercise and we're taking him to school to refine the training we've done ourselves.
He's really easy to train and has a wonderful temperament. As you can see, he's a lap dog.
Next challenge...teaching him to run along side my bike without killing me.

June 5th, 2012 Lyric Loves Texas!

Tari!
Another update on THE MOST PRECIOUS AND BEAUTIFUL puppy you've had or ever will have! LoL!! Lyric is AMAZING!!!! He has the GREATEST personality!! He is loving, smart, fun and a "go-getter"!! He has no fear and is game for whatever is planned for the day. He has been in the Paluxy river at our famous Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose Texas, went bounding in and didn't look back. He's hiked a rocky hillside in Mineral Wells State Park just west of Weatherford and enjoys his daily walks in parks here in our hometown of Weatherford. Lyric doesn't meet a stranger and loves people and pets of all ages!
I have given your name to several people who were impressed not only with his looks but his personality. He is so very well behaved! Even very young children are safe petting him.
We have a hike and bike trail that goes from one of our favorite parks to our First Monday Trade Days area, so we took that walk this past weekend. We didn't get to finish the entire Trade Days because SO MANY people stopped us to see our beautiful boys!!
One vendor has been a Golden Retriever person for many years but has an adult daughter who cannot have the shedding due to allergies. Someone had suggested that she breed her Golden to a Standard Poodle for a non-shedding dog. Luckily I was able to help her understand that genetics take generations and breeding one time would not guarantee a non-shedding dog with the "Golden personality" as she put it. Someone had also told her that Poodles are snippy. I set her straight on that one too. By the time she had visited with BeBop and Lyric (and her daughter also made it back in time to meet them) they were both Standard Poodle lovers and the plan to breed a "doodle" was left by the wayside, thankfully!
While at the same Trade Days about 8 children of different ages surrounded BeBop and Lyric wanting to pet them, they are like big time movie stars and handle it like such pros! They pause and pose, giving attention to each little one taking it all in stride with such grace you'd think they were adults who'd done this sort of thing for years!I'll close for now.
Thank you again over and over for breeding such a wonderful guy just for us!!
Sincerely, Kimmi
PS...Tari, I just read about the loss of Clay. I know how painful this must be for you and your family. I hope the joy of his life will help you heal from the pain of his passing.

Hi Tari,
I hope that you and your family have been doing well!!
Lily has certainly been coming out of her shell!! She is my little girl for sure! She follows me wherever I go, and sits at my feet (when I finally sit down). If I have my feet up, she sits and gives me a cute funny look until I put at least one down for her to rest on. I even bring her with me to drop off and pick up Cristoffer. She had to be alone for the first time ever this Thursday while I was in class (Brian was in Columbus), but it was only for three hours, and she was a good girl (and I graduate in two weeks - so excited!! Then it's all online classes from here.).
She has never had an accident in the house on my watch (she went potty once on Brian's watch - he is a daddy, not a mommy, so he doesn't have the "eyes on the back of our head" and intuition that we do). ;) She still doesn't particularly like the leash yet (I'll work on that as she grows up - there are so many other things to teach her right now), but she's getting used to her collar.
She is a little lover, and such a precious girl!! The hardest part is not bringing her on the couch and bed with me, but I know she'll be big someday soon, so I am trying to keep her well-trained on her comfy doggy beds (I know consistency is so important). We all love her so much already!! :)
Thank you again, and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!!

Tari, so far she is doing wonderful! You would never guess she just left her home and came to a brand new one. She is all over the farm with the rest trying to keep up. We have 3 of Zena's puppies that were born Feb 5th so she has some sorta her size to hang with. They are so funny. She even pulled herself up into the barn to follow the rest. no whining nothing! She is just as outgoing as they are!
She is amazing. Here is a picture of her meeting one of Zena's girls.Thannks again and I will get you more pictures!

Hi Tari,
Here we are- my little shadow and me. She got a clean bill of health today
at her vet visit. She had a busy day today and is passed out in my comfy
leather chair at the moment. It is hard for me to snap pictures of her as
she is always on the move. What a challenge it must be for you to take all
those puppy pictures.
sincerely,
Sue Ann

Tari, Grady is an incredible boy !! I have never seen a puppy/(and pardon the term) dog want to train the way Grady does. When he ‘gets wild’ the usual way to settle him back down is to do some training. I believe we’re going to need some help keeping up with him !!! I use the adjective ‘very’ for each of the following: he is very sweet, intelligent, confident and determined. He is just such a special boy !!! Thank you for bringing him in to our lives !!!!
This is going to be an adventure !!!
Right now he’s in the office with me and curled between the caster legs of my chair –with head under one arm and leg under another - I’m trapped (and can only swivel) at the moment !!!! – but love it. I’ll wait for Anne to get back so she can scoop him up. As a matter of fact, phone just rang and I can’t get to it – they’ll have to leave a recording and I’ll explain when I return the call.
We’ll update you on the play date – both parties are so anxious to get together.
And, we’ll also update you when we receive his AKC papers.
Gee, you’re going to get a lot of updates !!!!
Your two litters look absolutely adorable.
Have a great day !!!!
Best regards,
Carl, Anne & Grady – The Grady bunch and
PIM (Poodles in Memory – they’ll always be in our hearts !!)

Tari,
Wow! I have no idea what planet this puppy came from, but he is a dream. So far, he's an absolute doll.
His first two nights were a complete success. No whining, no crying.
He slept through the night (one potty run each night at 4am),sleeping in a large laundry basket beside my bed. He settled down and slept like an angel.
On the second day, he figured out that he could topple the basket and make his escape. But. . . .I put him back and said "stay" about 3 times.
The 4th time I just said it before he made his escape. He looked at me, and sat down. Thought about it for a minute or two and then settled in for another perfect night's sleep.
He's come to life. . .acting like a crazy, nutty poodle puppy should. (running sideways and jumping like Tigger outside in the snow) What a hoot!
Just wanted to let you know, he is much loved, and very special.
He doesn't even mind being put in his kennel for a "nap" while we are eating. I am PINCHING myself!!!
Thanks so much for helping us pick this absolutely adorable baby.
We'll send pics and updates again soon.
Blessings!

Hi Tari~
I have been meaning to send you a message along with some pictures! It has been a very busy holiday break for us! My kids went back to school today. Kind of glad to be back to a "routine"!!Isabella "Bella" is doing FANTASTIC!! We could not be happier with her!! She was groomed for a second time right before Christmas. The white on her nose has turned apricot. She is still a beautiful girl! I am anxious to see what she looks like when her adult coat grows in!!
She has been at our groomer twice. They said she is a VERY good puppy!! Good thing! We both know that poodles spend lots of time at the beauty parlor!!
Her potty training has been easy! We have an occasional accident. Most of the time, it is just because we haven't let her out in awhile! ")
It took me one day to teach her to sit for a treat (when she was a little over 8 weeks old!). She was sitting by the door to go outside after just a few weeks. I am going to start training her to ring a bell at the door so the kids will know she needs to go out. She already has a great deal of tricks in her arsenal!! I hired a professional trainer to come to our home so that I could work on some "big" dog things for her. He commented that her "learning curve" is "quite short"!! She was laying down and coming to her name in the short 90 minute session that he had with her. Makes me a proud mom!! :)
I hope your family had a great holiday break! I still check your website for cute poodle pictures. I am sure we will meet again as I am very confident that one Dubois poodle is not enough for our family!!!!!

Hi Tari,
I just wanted to let you know that our little puppy is doing great. He is so social and just loves to be around us. He is great with the girls. He has got such a friendly little personality. I can tell already that he is very smart too. He has already learned to do his thing when we go outside, and we have had very few accidents inside. I took him to the vet on Tuesday, and our vet thought he was a beautiful dog and in good health. So far so good!

Hello DuBois Poodles!
I am writing to give you a quick update on a puppy I purchased from you all, along with a question about a new puppy I saw on the website.Last spring my husband and I purchased Winnie (brown and white) and she has been a joy!! My mother also purchased a female black and white. We were able to see the pups and fell in love right away!
Winnie is doing great. She is the sweetest and SMARTEST dog I have ever had! I have owned poodles my whole life, but am fairly new with standard poodles. I have always been interested in breeding these amazing dogs as well. My husband is a fireman/paramedic which allows him to be home many days, and could provide the extra help I would need, if we decide to take on breeding in the future. I noticed you have many litters under your belt, so if you have any advice I am all ears!
I also noticed you have some new red and white pups for sale? Are any still available?
My husband and I were thinking about adding another to the family to keep Winnie company. :-)
Feel free to give me a call or email back with the info.
Thanks,
Lindsay
*Also, I have attached some updated photos of Winnie :-)

Hi Tari,
Just wanted to let you know Phin is doing great. He had his last set of shots a couple of weeks ago and is up to 32 lbs.
He is full of energy! We love him! As you can see in the first pic he has plenty of neighborhood friends too.
I attached a couple of pics but it is hard to keep him still for a really good shot.
Take care,

Tari,
Leeya is now 9 months old. We just wanted to touch base with you and send a couple of pictures. It seems for the most part the puppy stage is over and it was a really good puppy stage. Other than having a slight infatuation with socks and toilet paper, we went through it really well, especially having a brand new house. One problem that we learned early on was that she was smarter than us. She would trick us into give her treats. We eventually figured out that we had to show her who was in charge.
She is extremely lovable and she truly does follow us from room to room watching everything that we do. She learned the everyday commands with ease. She was actually sitting the 1st night we had her home. Leeya is great at begging and my wifes favorite trick is eating on command. She has been out of the crate overnight since she was 6 months old. We don't quite trust her to be out of the crate all day when we are gone. She is still a little mischievous.
Potty training was a breeze. One accident in the house, but I believe that it was out fault.
My daughter, Ally, still looks at you website every day, because of the fun things that you write about the dogs and puppies. Her favorite picture is the one of the dogs in the car, because that is Leeya. I guess riding 6 hours home in snow gave her a love for car rides. Speaking of snow Leeya is not a big fan of heat, but she truly loves the snow. The one major issue that we have with her is finding a groomer that can groom poodles here. We are already looking for out 3rd one. Any suggestions on questions we should ask? How's the family? No broken bones hopefully.
Thank you
Wayne, Renata, Justin and Ally

Hi Tari!
I wanted to let you know I got Jack Jack's papers in the mail (Luna's #1 male). He has already been registered with AKC, and have the UKC paperwork ready to send out as soon as I get the papers back from AKC. He is a gorgeous boy with a head to compete with the solid males... He really is amazing. He will be shown as soon as he turns 6 months, and I expect he will finish quickly! He has the best attitude, and we have completely fallen in love. He is great on the grooming table, and is growing coat like a weed! Im going to have to start banding his topknot soon!
I really really really happy to have purchased this beautiful dog! I will definitely keep you up to date with his show career and health testing.
Sincerely,
Amanda Cantrell

Our "little" Bailey is 6 months old now and almost 50 pounds. I can't imagine that he was the runt. He's a wonderful boy. Frog is a delicacy in his diet and anything the cats drag home is eatable too. Finally had to put the invisible fence on........he was going to visit the neighbors too often. He is a social butterfly. Pictures attached. One is 5 months and the other 6 months.

Hi Tari,
Cody arrived safely. I love him and he follows me everywhere I go. My toy poodle is a little afraid of him but I am sure that will pass soon.
I took him to the vet today and everyone fell in love with him immediately. He impressed them so much that the vet wrote down your web site to give to a friend who has been wanting a standard. Vet said he is going to be a beautiful adult.
Only problem, he cried all night and I couldn't sleep. Finally at 4:30 a.m. I put him in the bed with me. I have created a monster already, but an adorable monster.
Thank you so much for my beautiful little treasure, and I will send pictures soon.

Only problem, he cried all night and I couldn't sleep. Finally at 4:30 a.m. I put him in the bed with me. I have created a monster already, but an adorable monster.
Thank you so much for my beautiful little treasure, and I will send pictures soon.

Thank you so very much for you generosity in sharing the joy of one of your four legged clan members! Wills is doing well and continues to be a very sweet boy!! Sorry I haven’t written back sooner, been playing catch up since I’ve been back. Wills has been attending day care, we have a very good one in my community and he seems to love it. He gets lots of exercise and has great fun. The feedback I receive is that he is well behaved and socialized. Wills continues to do better with adapting to his new digs. Readily accepting his crate at night and after day care, tuckered out and ready to call it night when it is time. Not a single accident in the crate – has let me know every time he’s needed to go out at night. Also not a single poop accident, again always lets me know. Overall pretty good potty in general. Wills doesn’t always let me know when he needs to pee, but if I’m on it and make sure I take him out regularly, he does fine. Not a big eater and will all the exercise, I try to encourage him to eat. Had the wrong brand (although it had a diamond on the bag!) of dog food for one night – it was too rich for him. Then found Diamond, they didn’t have the Active formula, but did have puppy so we’re using that.
Anyway, like having a new baby in the house and he’s been a sweet, loving, fun, and funny. Thank you more than I can say!!!

Just wanted to let you know that Emmet is growing like a weed... literally... every time I turn around it seems he is a few inches taller. lolHe completed his discipline training and one of the trainers fell in love with his sweet disposition and attitude. He said that Emmet will be well suited for a therapy dog. Yey!We are in the process of finally moving to Louisville, KY... I say we, Ed, Emmet and I, because my husband is in Afghanistan until April... so if you don't hear from me for a while you'll know why.Even this pic is older because I just have not had time to take new ones.Emmet is such a joy, a sweetheart, and a great kisser! He is also incredibly smart and seems to know what I'm saying just by making eye contact... scary... but true. lolHe is keeping me calm throughout this whole chaotic process. Thanks so much for being 'spot on' about this being the perfect boy for me!Oh... and I do not meet one person who doesn't comment on what a beautiful, handsome, striking boy he is!

Tari,
I joined a standard poodle group on Facebook. Preston is well known. I have been told multiple times that he is drop dead gorgeous and that I am lucky to have a baby from his line.
Many thank you's-
Rick
Hi Tari,
Just wanted to tell you what a sweetheart Emmet is. He is sssssoooooooooo laid back. I love it!
I don't think I have ever seen a puppy who is so calm. :0)
I bring him to work with me everyday for socialization. He sleeps ALL day except when I wake him to take him to potty. lol
I have one not-so-smart co-worker who says that Emmet must be slow because he sleeps too much and is too calm... oh and because he fell out of my rolling office chair (I told him that Emmet must have missed his class on how to navigate office furniture.) I'm going to have to bring headphones for Emmet so that he can't hear those stupid remarks. :0)
I think he is going to make the perfect therapy dog. I've already spoken with the VP of the local chapter of therapy dog groups and she has 2 standard poodles that she has been using for years. I was thrilled to hear that!!!!!!!!!
Best,
Anne

Hi Tari,
Our new baby is making progress. We've decided to name him "Bunsen". After trying on many names this one seemed just right. Robert Bunsen was an award winning scientist who invented spectroscopy and then there's the muppet, Dr Bunsen Honeydew, so it's whimsical too. Plus it is 2 syllables with different vowels, which is great in a dog name if you possibly can, and I won't feel too stupid yelling it around the neighborhood in my pajamas. (The last are my sister in law's rules, who has owned many dogs.)
He is starting to learn about going potty outside and NOT going inside. He has never had an accident in the crate! After a couple of rough nights he has learned to sleep in the cage without much fuss, as long as he is tired when we put him down.
We haven't had to leave him at home alone yet but when we do I think if it is preceded by a long walk or play session he'll be fine for a couple hours in the crate. Turns out there was a nice big airline crate in the family.
He's met my sister's setter, 8 mos old and my other sister's Corgi and they got along well. The cats are avoiding him, but they'll adjust and they have the run of most of the house and spend the nights in my daughter's bed.
Thank you for the careful breeding that resulted in such a great pup. .

Hi Tari!
Just wanted to check in and say WOW.... Daphne is wonderful! Hats off to you for the 'pre potty" training. She NEVER even messed up when the kids weren't supervising her close. Outside and IMMEDIATE action!!! She also loves to ride in the car and is so good around our extended family with their dogs! I will send pictures soon. Thanks again for a GREAT puppy.
