Vanna is determined to "love on" Luna's babies. You can imagine at this point Luna is saying "go for it..." The attention Vanna shows these adoptees is touching. Today her affection for them was totally apparent. Tucker (Expedia) is probably thinking-"here we go again."
I caught Vanna in with Luna's babies today..... Apparently ALL PUPPIES NEED BATHS and she is going to volunteer. I knew she loved Luna's puppies even as her's were being weaned. Well I finally caught her loving them up. Interestingly, the babies didn't protest too much!
Orbitz above..Bing below It has been a busy weekend here with basketball games and friends over. It is amusing to hear why friends prefer certain puppies... "The little girl remembers me!" or "I like that tan color best." Whether they know about standard poodles OR NOT...a lot of people have admired these babies. and the babies??? They've just soaked it up.
These babies have decided that the world outside their whelping crate looks WAY more appealing than playing it "safe." The human imprinting is paying off.....they know that we are "where it's at.. LOL"
Wow am I pleased with the coats these babies have. The wave is absolutely over the top. All 3 are spending more time awake and I try to grab my camera to catch some of these moments. (I guess TO GET THAT FAT, sleeping is a must!) A month old already!
Bing, Expedia and Orbitz are such sweet babies. Notice Bing's unusual black spot on his L rear hip! A clear indication that at heart he's a "parti" boy.
We've introduced grooming with their first face shave..... I love seeing their beautiful poodle faces underneath that layer of "baby." Bing aboveLuna's Babies are growing like weeds. They still sleep A LOT and are happiest when they can just curl up in your arms and sack out again! Not a lot of action here lol. It's an EASY start to our New Year. Orbitz below
Baby Expedia above A brand new year with so much potential is lying ahead. At DuBois Standard Poodles we are really EXCITED over what is coming! We are planning several litters and studying pedigrees to produce the very BEST STANDARD POODLES POSSIBLE! My dear friend Sue Abeln is a genius with pedigrees. ( I'm not kidding) Anyway, her knowledge is invaluable and I'm learning so much from her!
Luna's babies are thriving and are quite the little chunks. I have not seen such lush wavy coats on such young puppies! Absolutely awesome. The friends we've hosted over the holidays have done some serious holding and socializing already! These babies do a lot of sweet groaning etc. They are sweet, fat little cherubs. We hope today marks a year that holds many blessing for you and your families. With our warmest New Year regards- Tari |
