So much to do to get ready for the show. Upon arriving home from Naples and with list in hand I'll tackle getting out the door again so soon. My twin sister Kari and her beautiful sable girl Penny will be going with Skylar and I to St. Louis. I need to give Skylar a quick bath and blow out her coat. Thank goodness for help with her show cut when I get there. Su Weaver, a Internationally known groomer, will be doing the honors for Skylar's "look." I can attest that ANYONE can learn to groom their poodle BUT a show cut is still a challenge even 3 years into this! Take heart as when I gave that first haircut.....someone I love said "oh....don't do that again!" Thank goodness hair grows and that one of my best friends, Sue Abeln has encouraged me to learn it!

Decided to start a blog to keep everyone current on DuBois Standard Poodle Happenings or just "day in the life stuff." Thank you to all those who encouraged me to post-- I had no idea there was interest!
Fall has been a busy time at our house. The dogs are doing really well and feel great with cooler weather. Love spending time on the front hill from where they can see "everything." Preparing to head to St.Louis for the Gateway Nat'ls. this weekend... DuBois KitSue's Sky's the Limit "Skylar" will be going into the ring for all 7 shows PLUS the United Poodle Breeder Specialty Sat. night! Meeting good friends down there. Sue from KitSue Poodles in Oklahoma and Linda from CrossBrook Poodles in St. Louis just to name a few! We will be in good company! |
