Crystal mostly watched the kids mess around with a volleyball last night.... Happy to let the others run.
 Miss Crystal is getting closer to her due date and she is moving slow. Our family discussed how many puppies and what colors??? Obviously it is anybody's guess. I think she looks like she wants to tell me :)  Our Mommy Skylar can't resist "getting involved" during grooming. She is the ONLY dog that comes running when she hears the grooming dryer turn on. She wants to watch....or in this case HELP- ya right.   I couldn't resist posting my friend Sue's recent litter of red/whites who were sired by KitSue's Gage (who was bred to our Crystal)..... These precious puppies will be going home in September and are a great example of years of work on Sue Abeln's part. She is a genius with pedigrees/color genetics. As you can see - I'm not kidding. :) The Red and white color catches my eye every time and I'm very happy for her as she enjoys these puppies.  Summer is moving along and so is the kennel/nursery addition...... I am looking forward laying ceramic tile. Water line, heating/cooling extensions are next so I'm gonna have to wait.   "I get the front" takes on a whole new meaning when 3 dogs try to cram into one seat....... AMUSING YES BUT NOT IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY.
 Today's visit to our vet confirmed what we were hoping..... Crystal is indeed expecting babies the first week of September!! While the number couldn't be officially tallied, I was delighted to see
moving babies.... This litter will hopefully hold some red, red abstracts, red/whites, apricots, creams, blacks and parti's in all of the aforementioned colors. With the conformation, sweet personalities and intelligence of both parents, we are excited to see these puppies. |
